Services for Randy Goedecke, 58, of Locust Grove, were held Monday, March 19, 2012, at 6 p.m., at Blue Springs Church in Salina. Rev. Lorne Beck officiated.

Randy passed away on Thursday at his home in Locust Grove surrounded by his family. Services are under the direction of Key Funeral Home in Pryor.

Randy was born on Nov. 12, 1953, in Tulsa, and raised by his father and step-mother, Ernest Dean and Teddee Goedecke. He grew up in the Twin Oaks and Little Kansas area. He attended school at Lowrey school then high school in Little Kansas. Randy worked at various jobs as a laborer. He and Susan Irene Russell were married on Aug. 28, 1981, in Miami. They made their home in Locust Grove.

Randy was hired on at Georgia Pacific in Pryor in 1982, and worked there until it closed on 2008. He later worked at Hillcrest Hospital in maintenance, then worked as a maintenance supervisor for Cherokee Entertainment in 2011.

Randy was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved spending time with his kids, grandkids and friends. He was known as a friendly and selfless person who would help anyone that needed it. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend and he will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Susan of the home; son, Randy Goedecke Jr. and wife Seree of Flint; daughters, Lisa Vader of Tahlequah, and Elizabeth Childers and husband Donald of Oolagah; grandchildren, Colten Dean, Makayla, Jake, Aulton and Madelyn; mother, Teddee Goedecke of Twin Oaks; brother, Kevin Berry of Gentry, Ark.; six very close buddies who are like brothers, Mike Stout, Mark Kemp, James Eaton, Kenny Laning, Craig Coverdell and Eddie Lyons; and numerous other friends, nephews, nieces and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Russell.
