Douglas Wayne Tyner Sr. 71, of Madill, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He was born on February 15, 1950, in Madill to the late George Denford Tyner and Mary Pauline Putman Tyner.  Doug was raised in Madill where he graduated high school in 1968.  He later attended OSU where he received a bachelor’s degree in nuclear radiation.  After collage he moved back to Madill and worked as a welder and raised his family.  Doug was a member of the Little City Baptist Church and he enjoyed riding his Harley, reading, playing music and being with his grandkids. 

He is survived by  Wife Lori Ann Pickering Tyner, Madill, Oklahoma; Children: Doug Tyner Jr. and wife Yolonda, Madill, Oklahoma, Michele Dancer and husband Jeff, Bennington, Oklahoma, Gina Treadway and husband Dewayne, Gilmer, Texas, Tressa Matchen and husband Hugh, Kingston, Oklahoma, Jason Tyner, Madill, Oklahoma, Heather Cofer, Madill, Oklahoma, Mathew Tyner and wife Staci, Madill, Oklahoma, Dustin Watkins and wife Lyndsi, Madill, Oklahoma, and Brandi Wheeler, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Grandchildren: Brady Richardson, Kaitlyn Richardson, Oleta Brittiney Tyner, Trey Treadway, Megan Lollis, Devin Muncrief, Braden Matchen, Brianna Tyner, Douglas Wayne Tyner III, Brissa Brown, Jadie Tyner, Macey Morris, Malarie Bowder, Wyatt Haskins, Jeffrey Ginn, Haylee Jo Tucker, Devon Hatfield and Weston Tyner. 

Great Grandchildren: Bria Tyner, Zane Tyner, Quinton Sanders, Delilah Sanders, Jase Garcia, Pacen Brown, Elayna Brown, Braylee Richardson, Kimber Jo Richardson and PresLee Ibarra and Sophia Ibarra.

Sisters: Linda Lejean Kenedy and husband Phillip, Enid, Oklahoma, Vicky Henry and husband Robby, Fobb, Oklahoma, Ellen Stafford and husband Ferrell, Kingston, Oklahoma.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents and sister Paula Kay Offutt.   

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm with a family hour from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at the Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, Oklahoma. Doug Tyner Jr. will officiate the service. Music arranged by Brissa Brown and Buddy Tyner. 

Interment will be at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery, Madill, Oklahoma.  Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
