Peggy Ann Whisman-Bailey, 79, of Madill, Oklahoma went to heaven on December 12, 2022, in Ardmore, Oklahoma after a long illness.

She was born in Ardmore on May 15, 1943, to the late Alvin Whisman and Essie Lee Wallis Whisman. Peggy later moved to Madill where she attended Madill Public Schools. In 1980 she met and later married Bill Bailey of Ardmore.

Peggy was employed with Dr. Hock’s office in Kingston, Oklahoma, Madill Pants Factory, and later with Uniroyal Tire Company of Ardmore where she later retired. She enjoyed sewing, shopping, cultivating her plants, visiting with friends, and spending time with family.

She is survived by husband: Billy Bailey of the home; Daughters: Carri Russell of Madill, Oklahoma; Charla LeAnn Thomason-Zink and husband Robert of Madill, Oklahoma;        Linda Woolmer and husband Patrick of Stovall, North Carolina; Patricia “Petey” Knight and husband Jacob of Mannsville, Oklahoma. Sons: William H. Bailey and wife Sharon of Garland, Texas; Jim Bailey and wife Danielle of Ardmore, Oklahoma. Son in law: Larry Ward of Madill, Oklahoma.
She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Alvin Whisman and Essie Lee Wallis Whisman, husband Charles Thomason and daughter Pamela Ward.
