Allia Dean Scribner, 84 of Madill, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Hospital in Durant, Oklahoma.

She was born on September 24, 1928 in Powell, Oklahoma to the late George Bridgeman and Minnie Pickren Bridgeman. Allia Dean was raised in Powell. She married Homer Aubrey Scribner on July 12, 1947 in Gainesville, Texas. He preceded her in death on January 21, 2006. She later moved to Madill where she worked for 17 years at the Madill Pants Factory. Allia Dean was a member of the Madill Church of Christ and she enjoyed going to the horseraces, sewing, cooking, picking up pecans and she loved watching the OU Sooner and the Dallas Cowboys.


She is survived by: Children: Bill Scribner and wife Nancy, Madill, Oklahoma, Phill Scribner and wife Marsha, Ravia, Oklahoma, Kathy Self and husband John, Denison, Texas, Virginia Clark, Ardmore, Oklahoma and Emily Scribner, Madill, Oklahoma. 12 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Allia Dean was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers; Jack, Walter, George, and John I. 6 sisters; Mildred Lee, Hattie Klein, Ethel McGhee, Lois Page, Evelyn Arterberry, Nannie Mae Dodd.

Visitation will be Sunday at Watts Funeral Home , Madill from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a family hour from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm.


Services will be Monday, December 17, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, Oklahoma.

Interment will be at the Oakland Cemetery, Oakland, Oklahoma.


Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home , Madill, Oklahoma.

Homer Aubrey Scribner, 92, retired Bell Refinery employee, died Saturday. Services 2 p.m. Tuesday, Watts Memorial Chapel.
