Eli Posey 80, of Madill, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021, at the Brookside Nursing Center in Madill.

He was born on January 21, 1941, in Madill to the late Aden Posey and Willie Myrtle Simmons Posey. He was raised in the Russett and Madill area, attending Russett schools. Eli married Linda Harris on January 10, 1986, in Gainesville, Texas and she preceded him in death. 
 

In his younger years Eli worked on the Chapman Farm and he later worked for Woody Motor Company for 21 years. He also worked for Peanut Company for 10 years before retiring.  
Eli was a member of the Family Christian Center in Madill and he enjoyed gardening, fishing, coon hunting, and telling stories to his grandkids. Eli would go to McDonalds several times
a day for coffee, he loved to talk and never met a stranger. He loved his family but most of all he loved his Heavenly Father. Eli loved to share the gospel and would pray anytime 
anyone needed prayer, even in the middle of Walmart.   
 
He is survived by children: Ricky Posey and wife Barbara, Madill, Oklahoma, Woody Posey and wife Tammy, Milburn, Oklahoma, Eddie Posey and wife Sandra, Kingston, Oklahoma,
David Ogg-Breshears and husband Chance, San Diego, Sheila Isenberg and husband Eddie, Milburn, Oklahoma, and Emma Martinez, Madill, Oklahoma. 15 grandchildren: Amber Posey, 
Malinda Looney, JD Beasley, RJ Posey Jr., Nakia Gage, Leigh Bearden, Caleb Isenberg, Moriah Posey, Ashleynn Posey, Mikey, Hank Williams, Megan Williams, Cruiz Martinez, Ashsley 
Lopez, Ryan Breshears. 15 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren. His sister: Ada Wolf, Madill, Oklahoma. Several nieces and nephews.
 
Eli was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 daughter; Shae Gibbs, 5 brothers; Charlie, Lee, Robert, Levi and Walter, 3 sisters; Lizzie Sheets, Louise Fish Sharp, and Margaret Looney. 
 
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at the Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma from 10:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a family hour from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
 
Funeral service will be Thursday, October 21 at 10:00 am at the Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, Oklahoma. Steven Bernard, Jackson Bell and Woody Posey will officiate the service. 
Music arranged by Paul and Rebecca Snow, Steve Bernard, Valerie and Lisa Lalli, Emily Cochran, April Christie.

Interment will be at the Linn Cemetery, Linn, Oklahoma. Services will be 

under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma.

Casket Bearers: Hank Williams, Randy Bearden, Caleb Isenberg, R. J. Posey, Dakota Looney, Mike Eddings, Issac Looney, and Ken Schultz.  Honorary Bearers: Rob Gibbs, Bryan Williams, Billy Roberts, Cruz Martinez and Frank Cobb.
