Square Cedar Cemetery


The funeral for Billy Ray Lewis II, 30, of Helena, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, at United Methodist Church, Helena. The Rev. Lell Shillings will officiate. Burial will be in Square Cedar Cemetery , northeast of Cleo Springs. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home Inc., Helena.

He was born Sept. 22, 1977, in Enid to James and Rita Ryel and died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, in Blaine County.

He grew up in the Aline-Cleo Springs and Enid area, graduating from Timberlake High School and he attended college.

He married Tracy Purcell June 14, 2003, in Helena. They made El Dorado, Kan., their home. He worked at several correctional facilities, including Diamondback Correctional Facility, Watonga, Bill Johnson Correctional Center, Alva, and James Crabtree Correctional Center, Helena. Before going to work for Groendyke Trucking, he worked for Technology Stimulus in Kansas.

Surviving are his wife, Tracy, of El Dorado; his parents, James and Rita Ryel of Enid; two brothers, Chason Lewis and Jeff Ryel, both of Enid; and one sister, Jamie Fortner of Enid.
