Funeral Services for Olive Ruth Brinson, age 89, will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at the Cleo Springs Christian Church. The Reverend Sam Justice will officiate. Burial will follow at the Square Cedar Cemetery east of Cleo Springs. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. Olive Ruth Brinson was born February 19, 1920 to Orin Isaac Law and Ruby Elizabeth (Tucker) Law and went to be with Jesus on April 4, 2009 in Fairview, Oklahoma. Olive graduated from Cleo Springs High School in 1940. Soon thereafter she apprenticed as a cosmetologist in Fairview, Oklahoma.

Olive married Bruce Waldron Brinson on April 29, 1940 and together they had two children, Kenneth Wayne Brinson and Brenda Diane Brinson-Ent. They made their home in Cleo Springs, Oklahoma in 1942, where they had a small farming operation. Bruce passed away in 1952 and she married Warren Stephens in 1953. Olive and Warren built and operated the Cimarron Roller Rink for a number of years. They remained married until his death in 1965.

Olive enjoyed quilting, sewing, and knitting. She was a professional seamstress for more than 45 years. She also served as bookkeeper for Law Sandpit for many years. She enjoyed being with family and friends.

She was a member of the Cleo Springs 1st Christian Church and Quilters Guild.

Olive is survived by one son, Kenneth Wayne Brinson of Fairview; grandsons, Bruce Brinson of Cleo Springs, Bret Brinson of Shawnee, and Scott Stewart of Pond Creek; granddaughters, Darla Brinson of Longdale, Dianna Fisher of Okeene, and Lanette Barnett of Aline; 17 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, two nieces, and the Stephens family.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Bruce Waldron Brinson and Warren Stephens; daughter, Brenda Brinson-Ent; grandsons, David and Steven Stewart; her parents and one sister, Juanita Ryel.

Memorials may be made to the Christopher Reeves Foundation and Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation - Kidney Division with Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. acting as custodians of the funds.

The funeral for Olive Ruth Brinson, 89, of Cleo Springs, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at Cleo Springs Christian Church. The Rev. Sam Justice will officiate. Burial will be in Square Cedar Cemetery, east of Cleo Springs. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

She was born Feb. 19, 1920, to Orin Isaac and Ruby Elizabeth Tucker Law and died Saturday, April 4, 2009, in Fairview.

She graduated from Cleo Springs High School in 1940 and soon after apprenticed as a cosmetologist in Fairview. She married Bruce Waldron Brinson April 29, 1940. They farmed in Cleo Springs. He died in 1952. She married Warren Stephens in 1953. They built and operated the Cimarron Roller Rink. He died in 1965.

She was a professional seamstress for more than 45 years. She served as bookkeeper for Law Sandpit. She was a member of Cleo Springs First Christian Church and Quilters Guild.

Surviving are one son, Kenneth Wayne Brinson of Fairview; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands, Bruce and Warren, she was preceded in death by one daughter, two grandsons and one sister.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Christopher Reeve Foundation or Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, kidney division.

Funeral Services for Bruce Wayne Brinson, age 52, will be held at 2:30 pm, August 15, 2014 in the Cleo Springs First Christian Church, Reverend Sam Justice officiating. Burial will follow in the Square Cedar Cemetery under the direction of the Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Bruce was born September 23, 1961 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Kenneth and Glenda (Hunt) Brinson and passed away August 10, 2014 in Enid, Oklahoma.

Bruce began living in Cleo Springs at 9 months old and spent the remainder of his life there. Bruce graduated from Aline-Cleo High School in 1979 with Salutatorian honors. While in High School Bruce was actively involved in FFA and also gained the honor of State Farmer. He attended Oklahoma State University in Fall 1979 and left in spring of 1980 to work for Kenneth Brinson Dozer Service. From 1985 till present, Bruce opened and managed Eagle Sand and Gravel Company in Cleo Springs.

On April 28, 1982 Bruce married Lynette Mancuso. From this union, two children were born, Brittany and Rusty Brinson. Bruce and Lynette were divorced in 1987. Bruce married Kimberly Ochab in June 1, 1997. With this marriage Bruce gained two more children, Bryan and Sheena Ochab. Bruce helped raise many more children and teenagers along the way.

Bruce’s pride and joy were his grandkids: Jordan, Ethan, Izaak, James, Bruce, Brayson, Brilyn and Karyzma.

Bruce is survived by his father, Kenneth Brinson, mother Glenda Moser and step-dad James; wife Kimberly Brinson, four children; Brittany (Brinson) Decha, Rusty Brinson, Sheena (Ochab) Holmes, and Bryan Ochab, one brother Bret Brinson; two sisters; Darla Brinson, and Dianna (Brinson) Fisher, eight grandchildren as well as many nieces, one nephew, and many uncles, aunts, and god children.

Bruce was preceded in death by his grandparents and great grandaprents.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bruce Brinson Memorial Fund to help pay for hospital expenses with Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodian.
