Funeral services for Kenneth Wayne Brinson, 77, of Cleo Springs, were held held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 29, 2019, at the First Christian Church in Cleo Springs, Oklahoma. The Reverend Sam Justice officiated. Burial followed in the Square Cedar Cemetery. Arrangements by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Kenneth Wayne Brinson was born on November 27, 1941, at his home in Cleo Springs to Bruce Waldron and Olive Ruth Brinson. Kenneth passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma, on April 23, 2019, after a brief illness.

Kenneth married Glenda Faye Hunt in 1961. To this marriage, four children were born: Bruce Wayne Brinson, Darla Durree Brinson, Dianna Leigh Brinson, and Bret Orin Brinson.

Kenneth worked in the oil field during his younger years before operating Law Sand and Gravel. He also attended welding school at Autry Vo-tech Center in 1970 and received his welding certification. Kenneth operated Kenneth Brinson Dozer Service from 1975 to 1982. He was a self-employed truck driver for years before he became disabled.

Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. One of his most amazing feats was engineering and designing the existing tower at the Sand Pit. As his life slowed down in his latter years, Kenneth enjoyed frequent outings with his friends – especially Kristi Newton.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Brenda; son, Bruce Brinson; two nephews; four step-brothers and four step-sisters.

Kenneth is survived by step-brother Larry Stephens (of Canton), step-sister Viola Gibson (of Oklahoma City), daughter and son-in-law-Todd and Darla McDonald (of Cleo Springs), daughter Dianna Fisher (of Ardmore), son Bret Brinson (of Kendrick, Oklahoma), eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and a whole host of nieces and nephews.

Memorials can be made to Aline-Cleo Public Schools with Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodian.

Special thanks to Healthback and all of Kenneth's caregivers and friends, especially Kristie Newton.
