The funeral for Patricia M. "Patty" Turner, 68, will be at 10 AM Saturday at Henninger – Allen Funeral Home. The Rev. Clarence Glaze will officiate. Burial will follow in Square Cedar Cemetery at Cleo Springs.

The casket will be open until service time.

She was born September 24, 1927, in Aline to Mark and Elva Reece Oakley and died Wednesday, December 13, 1995, at Bass Memorial Baptist Hospital, Enid, after a brief illness. She graduated from Cleo Springs high school and Enid Business College. She began her career as a ecretary for the George E. Failing Company.

On February 9, 1947, she married Alfred H. Boler. He preceded her in death. She was also a secretary for the Enid Police Department from 1953 to 1957, the city manager's office and worked for Garfield County attorney Bob Gregory for almost 2 terms. She later worked for the sheriff's office for more than 20 years where she was commissioned as a deputy. She retired in 1990.

On March 16, 1991, she married Claude W. Turner in Tulsa. They lived in Enid. She was a member of the Followers of Christ and the Oklahoma Sheriffs and Peace Officers Associations. She had been doing volunteer work at the Enid Public Library.

Surviving are her husband, Claude; one daughter, Vicki Jones of Tulsa; one son, Mark Boler of Enid; two sisters, Wanda Arnold of Enid and Joy Kinney of Richardson, Texas; two brothers, Milo Oakley of Tulsa and Scotty Oakley of Kaw City; and two grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Enid Public Library.
