Janetta Coleen (Morris) Nakvinda
September 17, 1941 - May 27, 2023

Janettta Coleen (Morris) Nakvinda was born on September 17, 1941, to William and Leon Morris near Jet, Oklahoma. Janetta departed this life on May 27, 2023, at age 81.

Janetta attended school at Jet-Nash and Covington before graduating from Helena-Goltry High School in 1959. The summer of 1959 Janetta was baptized in the Followers of Christ Church, and she was a member there for 64 years. January 14, 1960, Janetta married Ted Gene Nakvinda. There were married 41 years until Ted's death in 2002. Janetta was a devoted wife, homemaker, and mother, raising six children. Her children include: Stephanie Watkins and her husband, Troy of Cleo Springs, Chris Nakvinda and his wife, Kim of Ringwood, Eric (Deceased) Nakvinda and his wife, Jerrilynn of Bartlesville, Janell Nakvinda and Mark Williams of Fairview, Cory Nakvinda and his wife, Mekay of Ringwood, Ryan Nakvinda and his wife, Lori of Ringwood. They lived in Oklahoma City, Enid, and Lahoma until building their home in 1977 in rural Ringwood. Janetta resided there until her death. Janetta has 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Leon Morris; her husband, Ted Gene Nakvinda; her son, Eric Wade Nakvinda, and her great granddaughter, Ella Dawn Nakvinda; four brothers, and two sisters.

She is survived by one sister, Deanna Kruckenberg of Enid.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haley's Heroes Foundation--A Batten and Rare Disease--in honor of Ella Nakvinda at haleysheroesfoundation.org or Hopestone Cancer Support Center in memory of Eric Nakvinda, at www.hopestonecancer.org.

Graveside service for Janetta will be Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Square Cedar Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena.
