Gary Dale MorrisonFuneral Services for Gary Dale Morrison, 57, of Ringwood, will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at the Central Christian Church in Fairview, Oklahoma. Burial will follow in the Rusk Cemetery. The Reverend Ronnie Hopkins will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday at Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. There will be viewing before the service at the church.

Gary Dale Morrison was born January 24, 1951 at Fairview, Oklahoma to Lonnie and Georgia (Cravens) Morrison and passed away suddenly, after a short illness, on March 1, 2008 at his home near Ringwood, Oklahoma.

Gary attended Fairview High School, graduating in 1969. While in high school he was active in sports, he played basketball for one year, ran track for three years and loved playing football, making All-District Football his senior year. Gary served as class vice-president and one year as class president. He was also active in 4-H and FFA.

After high school, Gary attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and received a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and Physical Education, planning to be a coach. Gary wed his high school sweetheart, Gay Miller, on January 7, 1972 in Fairview. He built a 27 year career in the Oil and Gas Industry. Gary retired, allowing him more time to raise cattle and enjoy his favorite sport, hunting. He attended the Central Christian Church of Fairview.

Gary is survived by his wife, Gay of Ringwood; son Joshua Morrison of Oklahoma City, mother Georgia Morrison of Fairview; three brothers, Dean and Linda Morrison of Stroud, Jim Morrison of Fairview, and Ronnie and Marilyn Morrison of Laverne; one sister, Jean “Sis” and Phil Brown of Stillwater; sister-in-law Kathie Morrison of Enid; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. .

His father, Lonnie Morrison, preceded him in death.

Memorials may be made to the Central Christian Church through Fairview Funeral Home Inc.
