Charlotte Ann Kooken
January 21, 1937 - September 21, 2023

Graveside Services for Charlotte Ann Kooken, 86, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 25, 2023 at Roscoe Cemetery. Pastor Ron Wilbourn will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Charlotte Ann Kooken was born January 21, 1937 to Albert and Rena Pauline (Parker) Parkins on a farm west of Fairview. She lit up heaven on September 21, 2023 at her home in Enid, Oklahoma with her family by her side.

Charlotte attended the Cheyenne Valley School, graduating valedictorian. She married Lafe Kooken Jr. on February 11, 1956 at the Fairview Methodist Church. She toured the states with her husband who was in the Air Force. They ranched in New Mexico and Kansas, then ventured into custom harvesting. She was the best truck driver ever. She was one of very few women that drove an eighteen wheeler! Charlotte worked at the Major County Court house as a secretary and treasurer.

Charlotte is survived by her husband Lafe Kooken Jr., two daughters; Carrie and Mark Massey of Minco, Oklahoma and Gail and Monty McNaughton of Drummond, Oklahoma. Six grandchildren; Heidi and Jason Vaughn, Amber Bass and Ashley Pool all of Minco, Lisa and Sean Blanchard of Las Vegas, Nevada, Lafe and Jena McNaughton of Enid, Oklahoma, Leah and Aaron Bierig of Drumond, Oklahoma. Twelve great grandchildren; Rylee, Garrison, Taylin, Baylor, Aspyn, Charlotte, Kreece, Emerli, Aaron Mac, Maverick, Austin, and Ace. She is also survived by her brother Charles Parkins and his wife Loretta, and her sister Linda Cravens and her husband Clarence.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Rena Parkins and brother Rick Parkins all of Fairview.

Memorials may be made to the Cedar Springs Church of the Nazarene.
