Gerald Dewayne Flaming
December 30, 1934 - August 15, 2022

Graveside Services for Gerald Dewayne Flaming, 87 of Fairview, will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 2 pm at the Roscoe Cemetery west of Fairview, Oklahoma. Arrangements by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Gerald Dewayne Flaming was born December 30, 1934 on the family farm west of Fairview, Oklahoma to Peter John and Rachel K (Koop) Flaming and passed away peacefully at the Homestead Assisted Living in Weatherford, Oklahoma in the early morning on Monday, August 15, 2022.

Gerald grew up on the family homestead northwest of Fairview. Gerald was drafted in 1957 into the United States Army and served a tour of duty and was Honorable discharged on May 14, 1959. He returned home and went to work at Vance Air Force Base, working as a mechanic on the aircraft stationed there. He also owned and operated a custom harvesting crew and later in life worked for Delhi oil and gas company. However, while he worked at different jobs during his life, he still farmed and ranched on the family homestead.

Gerald is survived by his daughter France Valerie Ann Ivins and her husband Russel, three grandchildren, Alexa Roane and her husband Justin, Brody Ivins, and Braden Ivins and his wife Jade, one great grandchildren, Rex Roane, and his sister Lauretta Larabee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Marlyne Lamle and Elizabeth Flaming, and one brother Roy Flaming.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the American Legion Post 51.
