Notes: Sylvester Wimer was married first to Lillie Sturgeon, one child, Sylva, they divorced abt. 1914 and then Sylvester married Margaret Cecil Ruth Babb (about 15 yrs old) and had two more children, Clara and Virginia. Sylvester disappeared abt. 28 Sept 1919 at Groom, Carson county, Texas and was never seen again.
Our family suspected that Charlie Babb had killed Sylvester but there was no body or proof. Charles took his sister and her children back to Enid to their parents. The children were raised by the grandparents. Margaret gave birth to a son, Max Sylvester Wimer, on 1 April 1920 at Enid (?) Margaret disappeared and was found years later living as Ruth Dumas in Harvey, Louisanna. Sylvester’s body has never been found.
