Pleasant Hill Cemetery


The funeral for Charles E. WISEL, 78, of Lahoma, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Steve Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Meno.

He was born Oct. 6, 1930, in Bradshaw, Ncb., to George Bradford and Mildred Lindsey WISEL and died Saturday, March 14, 2009, at his home.

He lived in Nebraska and then Aline before moving to Lahoma. He served four years in the Air Force in Korea and Okinawa, Japan.

He married Faye La Jeanne SLOAN in 1950 in Enid. After his honorable discharge, he lived in Ratool, Wyo., before moving to Enid in 1953. He was a butcher for Redbud and Safeway. He then worked for the Lahoma school system. He worked for Enid State School, starting in 1978 and retiring in 1995.

He was a member of Moose Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Faye, of the home; two sons, Charles Jr. and Randy, both of Enid; three daughters, Lisa NEWBARRY of Wardsville, Marsha RICE of Lahoma and Donna WISEL of Enid; one sister, Flava HASKELL of Huma, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, one sister, one son and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love.
