Gerald Dean Shaffer, 79, Ringwood

Funeral service will be March 8 at 2 p.m. at the Ringwood United Methodist Church with Rev. Terrill Parvin officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery west of Meno with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Ann of Ringwood; one daughter, Linda Reininger and husband, Rick of Tulsa; one son, Tom Shaffer and wife, Mary of Ringwood; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and six step grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Elizabeth and three brothers, Boyd, Vernon and Eldon.

Memorials may be given to the Ringwood United Methodist Church through the funeral home.

The funeral for Mary Ann Shaffer, 77, of Ringwood, will be 10 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church, Ringwood. The Rev. Terrill Parvin will officiate. Burial will be in Plea-sant Hill Cemetery west of Meno. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home Inc., Helena. Viewing will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today.

She was born Feb. 15, 1928, in Carmen to William David Frech and Bertha Louise Spencer and died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006, in Enid.

She graduated from Carmen High School. She married Gerald Dean Shaffer Dec. 5, 1946, in Enid. She lived in the Ringwood area for 60 years. He died in 2005.

She was a cafeteria cook for Ringwood schools for 10 years, retiring in 1971. She was a member of Ringwood United Methodist Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Linda Reiniger of Tulsa; one son, Tom Shaffer of Ringwood; one sister, Nadine Harmon of Aline; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Gerald, she was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Ringwood United Methodist Church or M.A.R.C. Senior Center.
