The funeral service for Clara “June” Marlatt, age 78, will be at 10:00 AM Monday, June 10, 2013, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jody Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Meno. Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday afternoon 4:00 – 5:30 PM at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

June was born to Albert and Hulda (Koehn) Smith on June 8, 1934, at the family farm north of Ringwood, and passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013, in Enid.

June grew up in Ringwood, attending Meno and Ringwood schools. On October 20, 1950, she married Devert “John” Marlatt at the Ringwood Presbyterian Church. They made their home in Enid, where June was a homemaker and mother. She also helped in the family business, Marlatt Auto Supply. June was always active in her church. But most of all she enjoyed her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. She loved cooking and baking, usually having cookies ready for the kids, and made her home a fun and welcome place to be. She was a member of Christ First Covenant Bible Fellowship.

June is survived by husband Devert; two sons, Dennis Marlatt and wife Jody of Dallas, Randy Marlatt and wife Donna of Enid; two daughters, Devera Coppock and husband Terry, and Michele Evans and husband Robert, all of Ringwood; twelve grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Jerry.

Memorials may be made to the church or OMRF – Cancer Division.

The funeral service for Devert Marlatt, age 81, will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jody Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Meno. Visitation with family will be Friday evening 5:30 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Devert Leon Marlatt was born to Orville Edward and Barbara Elva (Crites) Marlatt on November 22, 1933, in Vinita. On Saturday, May 2, 2015, John laid aside this earthly body and was received into the hands of his loving Savior and Lord.

John moved to Ringwood with his family, where he attended Ringwood School for twelve years, graduating in 1950. John met and fell in love with Clara June Smith. They were married in the Ringwood Presbyterian Church on October 20, 1950. To this union were added four children: Dennis, Randy, Devera and Michele.

John worked for Owens Supply for several years before opening and operating Marlatt Auto Supply in 1965 in Enid. Throughout 32 years of business, he and June added several branch store sites, including Alva, Hennessey, Medford and Garber. They retired, selling the business in 1997.

After accepting Jesus as his Savior, John and June were both active in the Presbyterian Church at Ringwood. He served as elder for many years. But his passion was in music. John formed a men’s quartet and traveled all around, sharing in music and testimony of his love for his Lord. Later, they joined the Christ First Covenant Fellowship Church of Enid, and faithfully attended and served.

All their lives, John and June served. They spent countless hours going to and enjoying their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Their love and commitment to each other flowed faithfully on to their family and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents, wife June, and two brothers Gene and Chalk. He is survived by his children: Dennis and wife Jody Marlatt of Addison, Texas, Randy and wife Donna Marlatt of Enid, Devera and husband Terry Coppock of Ringwood, Michele and husband Robert Evans of Ringwood; brother Lesley Allen and wife Betty Marlatt of Woodward; sister-in-law Edna Mae Marlatt of Yukon; twelve grandchildren: Amy and Amanda, Jason, Mandy and Sarah, Cameron, Andrea and Barbara; Matthew, Trevor, Katie and Nathan; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to OMRF – Diabetes or Alzheimer Division.
