Lola June Jeffries

Ringwood--The funeral for Lola June Jeffries, 83, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Donovan Dean Goodfellow officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Meno, directed by Kenny Lanman Funeral Home, Helena.

She was born June 21, 1910, in her parents' home in Woods County to John S. and Cora Beard Whiteneck and died Saturday, May 21, 1994, at St. Mary's Hospital, Enid. She graduated from Carmen High School. She married Glenn L. Jeffries Feb. 11, 1935, in Enid. He preceded her in death in 1975. She retired from working at St. Mary's Hospital in 1977.

Surviving are two sons, Dr. Dwayne Jeffries of El Cajon, California and Elden Jeffries of Chandler, Arizonia; one daughter, Glenda McCormick of Ringwood; four brothers, Elden Whiteneck of Sarcoxie, MO; Dr. Rhonald Whiteneck and Dr. Wilbur Whiteneck, both of Norman, OK and Dr. John Whiteneck of Beaverton, Oregon; two sisters, Jennie Newton of Waynoka and Ida Prentice of Enid; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.

Memorial may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation-Heart Division.
