Ringwood---Glenn L. Jeffries, 62, died Mon. in Pasadena, Calif., following a brief illness. His services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Church of the Brethren east of Aline with Rev. John Schmidt and Brother Chuck Sturgeon officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hll Cemetery at Meno under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Glenn was born Dec. 26, 1912, in Glenpool. He came to the Covington oil field as a child with his parents. Following graduation at Garber High School in 1931, he moved to Ringwood. He married Lola Whiteneck Feb. 11, 1935, at Enid.
Glenn began his career in the oil field at Notrees, TX, in 1946. He moved back to Ringwood in January of 1951 where he worked for the gasoline plant south of Ringwood. He retired in 1972. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren east of Aline.
Suvivors include his wife, Lola, of the home; two sons, Dwayne, Pasadena, Calif., and Elden, Ringwood; one daughter, Mrs. David (Glenda) McCormick, Eugene, Ore.; seven grandchildren including Jackie Lee Jeffries, Rachal Lynn Jeffries, Rita Kay Jeffries all of Pasadena, Shaun David Jeffries of Middlebury, Ind., Dale Lee Phipps, Sherry June Phipps and Kathy Marie McCormick all of Eugene, Ore. and his father, W. L. Jeffries, Enid.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mae Shafer Jeffries.
Pallbearers will be Olin Prentice, Ernest Kine, Wilbur Lee Melrose, Ronnie Whiteneck, Don Whiteneck, and Keith Whiteneck all nephews of Glenn.
