DENTON, TEXAS-Funeral service for Clara Belle Burpo Fitzgerald, age 75, who died Saturday, March 6, 2004 in Denton Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness, will be Thursday, March 11, 2004 at the United Methodist Church in Ringwood, Oklahoma at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Terrill Parvin officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery west of Meno, Oklahoma with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday and Wednesday. Memories may be shared with the family at www.lanmanfuneralhomes.com by clicking on the Ultimate Tributes icon.

Clara was born on November 17, 1928 in San Angelo, Texas to Homer and Mattye Sublette Burpo. She moved to the Ringwood area in 1931 with her parents. She attended Ringwood Schools and graduated from Ringwood High School. She attended Phillips University for two years. Clara was a retired real estate agent.

Clara is survived by two sons, Lee Allen Mills of Grand Island, Nebraska, and Rick Fitzgerald of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one daughter, Susan Henderson of Denton, Texas; one brother, Cmdr. James Burpo of Lawton, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.

She is preceded in death by one son, Bruce L. Mills and her parents.

Memorials may be made to the Ringwood United Methodist Church through the funeral home.
