Pleasant Hill Cemetery


Memorial services for Ronald Dean "Ronnie" Feger were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Full Gospel Community Worship Center with Ralph Depew and the Rev. Tim Ramsey officiating. Arrangements were by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.

He was born Feb. 28, 1939, in Ringwood, Oklahoma and passed away on January 30, 2005.

Ronnie had lived in the area since 1961, moving from Enid, Okla. He was a cattleman all of his life and was a member of American Quarter Horse Association, Texas Cattle Feeders Association and National Quarter Horse Association. He also owned and operated the Meating Place for 12 years.

He attended elementary school in Ringwood and later moved to Enid where he graduated from High School in 1956. He attended Cameron Junior College in Lawton, Okla., on a basketball scholarship. He married Janice Sue Rippy on June 14, 1958.

Ronnie was employed by Enid Packing Co. until moving to Perryton in 1961. He worked for Jay and Verdie Rippy at Perryton Livestock Auction and also traded cattle until 1978, when he went into business for himself, trading cattle at Feger Cattle Co.

On October 7, 1986, he married Sophie Essinger in Las Vegas.

Preceding him in death was his father, Harold Feger ; his parents, Lawrence and Myrtle Beardsley; a son, Gregory Feger ; six brothers, Donald Wayne, Clifford, Raymond and Raiford Feger and Fred and Bobby Beardsley; and two sisters, Bonita Krager and Donna Jean Morley.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Lisa Daniel and husband, Brodie, and Lori Porter and husband, Ronnie, all of Perryton; a son, Curtis Feger and wife, Jennifer, of Perryton; the mother of his children, Janice Daniel of Amarillo; a brother, Leroy Beardsley of Porterville, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.

The family suggested memorials go to Ochiltree Hospice Volunteers, 3101 Garrett Drive, Perryton, TX 79070.
