Pleasant Hill Cemetery


Aubrey V. Archer, 78, died Saturday at his home in Ringwood. The funeral will be 2 PM Wednesday at the Ringwood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Whetsell officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery under direction of Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home.

Archer was born September 1, 1907, in Grant County. He and Elaine Taylor were married July 14, 1930, in Kingfisher. He had been employed by Continental Oil Company for 35 years and was retired from the aviation division of that company.

Archer lived in Houston, Texas, for a period of time, moving to Enid in 1974 where he lived until 1983. He was a member of the Ringwood United Methodist Church, the Enid Moose Lodge and the Old Timers Dance Club. He also was a veteran of World War I I, serving with the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine; and eight nephews.

The casket will be open at the funeral home until 11 AM Wednesday.
