Orion Cemetery


Funeral Services for Ray Worley, 79, of Cleo Springs, Oklahoma will be 2 pm, Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the Fairview First Baptist Church. Reverends Charles Newton and Arnold Curby will officiate. Burial will follow in the Orion cemetery West of Fairview. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Ray Worley was born on June 3, 1936 in Powell, Oklahoma to Harold and Cora (Southerland) Worley and passed from this life on June 13, 2015. He attended first through eighth grade in Linn, Oklahoma, his freshman and sophomore years of high school in Madill, Oklahoma and finished his high school career in Fairview.

On November 3, 1956 Ray married Chloe Dian Painton in Ada, Oklahoma and to this union three sons were born. Throughout his working life Ray had various occupations including management, equipment operator, farming, and sales. Ray always liked to fish and hunt. Anyone that knew Ray would describe him as being very independent, witty, and charismatic. He enjoyed spending time outdoors caring for his animals and making various wood projects in his garage. In Ray’s own words “The Lord blessed me in so many ways, I didn’t deserve any of them but I thank God every day for being so good to me and my family.”

Ray is survived by his sister Monette Keeton, of Fairview, Oklahoma; his three sons; Greg Worley and wife Lisa of Lahoma, Oklahoma; Paul Worley and wife Sharla of Fairview, Oklahoma; and Rick Worley and wife Robin of Olathe, Kansas. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Kelsey Nelson and Kinsey Young both of Fairview, Oklahoma; Kassey Worley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Sean Worley of Olathe, Kansas; 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother-in-law Don Keeton, and longtime friend Bruce Morris.

Memorials may be made to the Cleo First Baptist Church with the Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodian.
