Fairview – The funeral for Michael Dwain Tucker, 38, will be Tuesday at 2 PM at the Fairview Church of the Nazarene with the Reverends Chuck McKinney and John Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Orion Cemetery, under direction of Fairview Funeral Home.

Tucker was born November 2, 1957 in Fairview to Dwain and Carol (Pester) Tucker and died Friday, December 15, 1995 at St. Mary's Hospital after a traffic accident.

He lived in the Fairview area all of his life and graduated from Fairview high school in 1977. He married Dorothy Kunkel on September 14, 1979 at Fairview.

He joined the Army Reserves in 1987 and served in Desert Storm. Tucker was employed by PIC.

Tucker is survived by his wife Dorothy and daughter Lisa of the home, son, Shannon of Enid; sisters, Teresa Richardson of Okeene and Mylinda Walker of Waynoka; brother, Glen of Dacoma; parents, Dwain and Carol Tucker of Fairview and two grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, three uncles and a niece.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Cimmaron Valley EMT Association of Major County.

Fairview man dies when his truck strikes tractor

A Fairview man died Friday from injuries sustained when his small pickup truck ran into the back of a tractor.

According to investigating Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper, David White, Michael Dwain Tucker, 38, was traveling north on Highway 58, 6 miles south of Ringwood, when he struck the tractor driven by Glenn Wedel of Ringwood. A spike was attached to the back of the tractor.

Wedel, 61, was transported to Fairview Hospital, where he was treated for minor head and neck injuries, and released.

Tucker was taken to Fairview Hospital by Major County ambulance, then transported to St. Mary's Hospital in Enid. He was pronounced dead from massive head and trunk injuries.
