July 25, 1935 - October 10, 2018

Graveside Service for Donald Edward Dalrymple, 83, of Fairview, will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 13, 2018, at the North Mennonite Brethren Cemetery with a Celebration of Life Service following the burial at the Saron Mennonite Church at 11:00 am. Reverend Arnold Curby will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Friday, October 12th at Fairview Funeral Home.

Donald Edward Dalrymple was born to Elmer and Stella (Lapel) Dalrymple on July 25, 1935 in Thomas, OK and passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in Fairview, OK.

Donald grew up in Thomas, OK. Where he enjoyed helping out on the family farm. He met his wife, Mary Lois Nightengale, of Fairview, OK, on a blind date. They were married in Fairview on April 6, 1963 at the First Baptist Church. Shortly after their wedding, they relocated to Okeene, OK and gave birth to their first child, Lena. Donald and Mary Lois moved back to Fairview when he was offered a job at the State Department of Transportation. Upon their move back, they had their second child, Lois. Donald worked at the State Department of Transportation until retirement in the early 90’s.

Donald had a great work ethic and love of working outdoors. After retirement, he dedicated himself to tearing down houses around Fairview, a mowing service, and gardening. Donald was a devoted member of the Saron Mennonite Church and served as an usher for more than 25 years.

Donald is survived by his children, Lena Kehn and husband, Mark Kehn, Waukomis, OK, Lois Seelke and husband, Matthew Seelke, Okeene, OK; four grandchildren, Brandi Keller and husband, David Keller, Corey Kehn, Isaac Seelke, and Grace Seelke.

Donald was preceded in death by his wife, parents and his sisters, Ruth Ann Jones and Dorothy Jean Watts.

Memorials can be made to Saron Mennonite Church.
