Evelyn Maxine Stiles Wilmott was born January 9, 1922 to Vircho and Irene McGonagle Stiles and passed away Wednesday March 7, 2007 in Fairview Oklahoma. Graveside services were held 2:30 pm on March 10, 2007 at Roscoe Cemetery with Rev. Ray Schoonmaker officiating.
Maxine grew up in Fairview area and attended Fairview schools. In 1942 she moved to Wichita and worked for Coleman Defense Plant for several years on the assembly line. After returning to Fairview, she worked at the Cornelson Gas Station.
She married Walter Montgomery Wilmott in Fairview on September 21, 1948. They lived in the Fairview area and Maxine worked as a cook for the Santa Fe Railroad for five years. She later attended Beetch’s Beauty School in Enid and opened the Town and Country Beauty Shop in Fairview which she operated for over 30 years.
She is survived by a daughter Stasha Wilmott Dayton and her husband Ronald Dayton of Fairview; grandson Corey Wayne Dayton of Alva; two sisters, Nina Gensler of Midwest City Oklahoma and Shirley Warner of Fairview. She was preceded in death by her parents (both buried at Roscoe), husband Walt in 2002, and 2 brothers James Lee and Roy Edgar (also buried in Roscoe)
