Enid, OK — The funeral for Mary Ellen Sproul, 81, of Isabella, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Nazarene Church, Isabella. The Rev. Nathan Twyman will officiate. Burial will be in Isabella Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. Visitation will be 2 - 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. - noon Saturday at the funeral home.
She was born July 2, 1926, east of Isabella to Dane and Hazel Wahl and died Thursday, March 13, 2008, at her home.
She attended Golden Valley grade school and graduated from Fairview High School in 1945. She married Mark Sproul Nov. 2, 1946. She helped with the farm work, 4-H, church, and the Republican Party.
Surviving are her husband, Mark; one daughter, Mary Roblyer of the home; four sons, Rex Sproul and John Sproul, both of Isabella, Mark Sproul Jr. of Harper, Kan., and Bill Sproul of Sedan, Kan.; two brothers, Mark Wahl of Soap Lake, Wash., and Tom Wahl of Moses Lake, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love, Fairview.
