The funeral for Billie Dean Kliewer, 68, of Ringwood, will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Ringwood. The Rev. Brian Frable will officiate. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, south of Ringwood. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc., Fairview. Viewing will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
He was born July 10, 1937, in Enid, to Erven and Agnes Schroeder Kliewer and died Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.
He enlisted in the Army in 1955, serving two tours in Vietnam, retiring in 1977 at the rank of MSG. He worked for the state of Maryland from 1977 to 1997, retiring to Ringwood in 1997. He was a member of American Legion King Hagan Post 51 and First Baptist Church, Ringwood.
Surviving are his wife, Anita Maria, of the home; seven sons, Helmut of Midlothian, Va., Billy Dean of Enid, Christopher of Altus, David of Waukomis, Michael of Derwood, Md., Jeffery of Ringwood and Corey of Rockville, Md.; three brothers, Bruce and Frank, both of Oklahoma City, and Clay of Fairview; two sisters, Peggy Eck of Ponca City and Rose Revell of Enid; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Ringwood or the charity of donor’s choice.
