The funeral for Elsie Mae Kahn, 89, of Fairview, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at First Assembly of God Church, Fairview. The Rev. Jim Veal will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Cemetery. The Rev. Randy Levings will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc. There will be no public viewing at her request.
She was born April 10, 1916, in Fairview to John B. and Agnes Bekker Ratzlaff and died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, at Fairview Hospital.
She attended school in Greenvalley, Orienta and Longdale.
She married John B. Kahn Dec. 23, 1935, in Medford. He died in 2000.
She worked as executive housekeeper at Fairview Hospital for 16 years and was cook at Fairview Senior Citizens Center for seven years. She was a member of Fairview First Assembly of God Church where she was active with Women's Mission, and was a member of American Legion Auxillary.
Surviving are her daughter, Genevieve Merriman of Fairview; three sisters, Matilda Wichert of Kingston, Adeline Koehn of Fairview and Betty Manning of Edmond; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by one son, two daughers, and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to First Assembly of God Church.
