Enid, OK — Funeral for Ruth A. Holston, 76, of Enid,were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2008, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Grady Bohannon officiated. Burial was at Ames Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau Evans of Enid.

She was born June 2, 1932, in Ames to Erl and Eva Reynolds Weathers and died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at Hillcrest Hospital, Oklahoma City. She graduated from Ames High School in 1949. She married Van Holston June 5, 1949. They made their home in Ames and later in Enid. She worked at Vance Air Force Base in NAF and civil service until retiring Dec. 1, 1992. She was a member of Brethren Church and attended Oakwood Christian Church.

Surviving are three sons, Chuck Holston, Jim Holston and Ted Holston, all of Enid; one daughter, Vanessa Gainer of Enid; one brother, Bob Weathers; one sister, Peggy Winter; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Van, one daughter, two sisters and two brothers.
