Funeral services for Virgil L Campbell, age 54 of Ringwood who died Tuesday night (July 2, 1991), will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday (July 5,1991) in the New Hopedale Mennonite Church, Meno, with the Rev. Larry Brashear officiating. Burial will follow In the Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau -Evans Funeral Home.
He was born south of Ringwood March 30,1937 to Jess and Lucille Jantzen Campbell. He attended Cimarron Valley School before attending Ringwood schools, graduating in 1954. He served in the U S Army from 1959 to 1962.
He married the former Karen Wedel June 23,1963 in Ringwood. He retired from Champlin-Union Pacific Resources in 1988 after working for them since 1965. He was affiliated with the New Hopedale Mennonite Church, Meno and the Ringwood Fair Board.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; one daughter, Annette Pfeiffer and her husband Jim of Enid; one son, Gary and his wife, Kim of Memphis, Tenn; his parents Jess and Lucille Campbell of Ringwood; four grandchildren, Ashlyn Pfeiffer of Enid; Eric, Jessica and Jared Campbell of Memphis, Tenn.; one sister, Shirley A Simons of Enid.
He was preceded in death by one nephew.
Memorials may be made to the New Hopedale Mennonite Church or the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Heart Division with the Church and Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
