Liberty Cemetery


Seiling – The funeral for Velvree Alta "Vee" Butler, 78, will be 10 AM Friday at Redinger Funeral Chapel. Ewe; Vaigjam will officiate. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.

She was born October 19, 1921 in Sherman to Fredrick William and Rosie Lavina Shook Buttel and died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at Seiling Municipal Hospital.

She was raised northwest of Chester and attended Sherman school.

On October 19, 1953, she married Fred Alfred "Junior" Butler at Alva. They lived on a farm north of Chester. She worked at Shamrock Café, Seiling, for 15 years, and at 7 – H Corral Steakhouse, Seiling, for five years. She moved to Chester in 1998

Surviving are one son, Fred of Chester; two sisters, Lula Henderson of Waynoka and Vera Harmon of Atascadero, California; and five brothers, Francis Buttel and Virgil Buttel of Woodward, Cecil Buttel of Single Springs, California, Ermal Buttel of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, and Melvin Buttel of White Mountain Lake, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her husband, February 26, 1998, one sister and five brothers.
