ENID, Okla. — ISABELLA — Funeral for Imogene Gibson, 77, will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013, at Isabella Nazarene Church. Burial in Isabella Cemetery . Arrangements by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.

Imogene was born Jan. 20, 1936, in Healdton, Okla., to John Henry and Vickla Shatswell and died Friday, May 10, 2013, at The Lakes Care Center in Oklahoma City.

Surviving are husband, Clifford Gibson; seven children, Wayne Gibson, Carol Smith, Karen Sue Gratner, Barbara Sproul, Tommy Gibson, Kim Smith and Lisa Secondine; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral Services for Imogene Gibson, 77, will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2013 at Isabella Nazarene Church with burial to follow in the Isabella Cemetery. The Reverend Nathan Twyman will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday May 16, 2013 from 6 to 8pm at the funeral home and before the service at the church.

Imogene Gibson was born on January 20, 1936 in Healdton, Oklahoma to John Henry and Vickla (Yates) Shatswell and died May 10, 2013 at The Lakes Care Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She grew up in the Wetumka and Weleetka areas. Imogene married Clifford Doyle Gibson on September 22, 1952. To this union was born seven children. Imogene had various jobs in her life, but the one she was most passionate about was being a mother, grandmother, and wife. She was ALWAYS her children's biggest fan! She was their hero also. Keeping house was always a joy to her.

Imogene is survived by her husband of 60 years, Clifford Gibson, formerly of Ames, Oklahoma, all seven children: Wayne and Wendy Gibson of Du Bois, PA; Carol and Richard Smith of Gulf Breeze, FL; Karen Sue Gratner of Fairview, OK; Barbara and John Sproul of Isabella, OK; Tommy and Janet Gibson of Austin, TX; Kim and Darrell Smith of Oklahoma City, OK; Lisa and Bryce Secondine of Navarre, FL, 20 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great great-granddaughter.

Memorials may be made to The Isabella Church of the Nazarene.
