Isabella Cemetery


Kenneth James Ensminger was born Jan. 28, 1942, at Isabella, OK to W.H. and Carrie Brown Ensminger, and passed away Friday, Aug. 22, 2014 at the age of 72.

He was a resident of the Isabella community all of his life where he was a farmer and custom harvester. He loved and raised thoroughbred horses. He attended Isabella and Okeene schools, and was a member of the U.S. Navy at Patuxent River, Maryland. He was married to Linda Vencl at Hunter, OK on Dec. 22, 1962.

He was preceeded in death by: his wife, Linda; his parents, Willie and Carrie Ensminger; sisters, Lou Ella Baum and Loretta Greb; brothers, Clifford, Glen, and Shelby.

He is survived by: son, Kevin and wife, Nancy, of Cherokee; daughters, Karen and husband, Scott Deatherage of El Reno, and Kristy and husband, Mike Boehs of Lakin, KS; brothers, Robert of Isabella and Warren of Manchester, OK; sisters, Marjorie Maddux of El Dorado, KS, and Gail Breckenridge of Edmond, OK; five grandchildren, Kayla and Dusty Mackey, Jordan Ensminger, Holly and Ryan Yost, Lindsay and Jonny Klassen, and Andy Boehs; and one great-grandchild, Cooper Mackey.

Graveside services for Ken were held Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, at the Isabella Cemetery in Isabella, OK, with Nathan Twyman officiating.

Burial in the Isabella Cemetery with Wilkinson Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
