Glenwood Cemetery


Funeral services for Esther C. Staley, 84-year-old Enid resident, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, at Ringwood Presbyterian Church with pastors Steve Campbell and Jon Larsen officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Esther C. Staley was born Feb. 16, 1924, to Lester and Mattie (Koons) Stricker in Ringwood, OK and passed into glory Sunday, Oct. 31, 2008, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, Enid, OK. Esther graduated from Ringwood High School in 1942. She then married Roscoe E. Staley Aug. 28, 1943, in Wichita, KS. Esther worked for Beech Aircraft for three years and then went on to her career at Sedgwick County Kansas in city court on Dec. 15, 1951. Esther then worked in Probate Court from 1954-1984, when she retired. They then moved back to Ringwood. In October 2006, she moved to Greenbrier Apartments where she lived until her death.

Esther is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, three brothers, and her husband, Roscoe.

Esther is survived by one brother Everett and wife Marguerite Stricker of Great Bend, KS and three sisters, Dortha Sparks and husband Sam of Raymore, MO, Mary Campbell and husband Waldo of Ringwood, OK, and Joyce Rexroat of Fairview, OK, along with several nieces and nephews.
