Ringwood-Graveside service for Alberta Houston, 84, will be Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Glenwood Cemetery South of Ringwood. Viewing will be Tuesday, October 6, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. www.lanmanmemorials.com

Alberta (Birdie) Mae Houston was born October 16, 1930 in Tryon, Oklahoma to Claude Edward Culie and Mary L. McKey Culie and went to sleep in Jesus on October 3, 2015 in Fairview, Oklahoma. She married Calvin Houston on April 27, 1954. She was a homemaker for many years until she graduated from Enid Beauty College. She opened her beauty shop, “Cut and Curl” in Ringwood in 1964. She loved her profession and her clients. She was also a Certified Medical Care Aide and served as volunteer secretary at the MARC Center in Ringwood. She was a member of the Ringwood First Baptist Church. She also attended Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church. Don’t be sad that she is gone. Be thankful that she happened!

She is survived by her two sons, Larry Lee Fowble and wife, Linda of Ringwood, Oklahoma and Calvin Wayne Houston and wife, Beverly of Valley Center, Kansas; two brothers, Edward Pete Culie and Orville Claude Culie; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren.
