Glenwood Cemetery


Ringwood-Graveside service for Kenneth Andrew Briley, 90, will be Friday, September 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Glenwood Cemetery south of Ringwood.

Kenneth was born on February 17, 1925 in Denison, Texas to Fred and Irene Armstrong Briley and passed from this life on September 2, 2015 in Enid. When Kenneth was a junior in high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp and was wounded in Iwo Jima. After his tour of duty with the Marines was completed, he returned home and finished high school. He then attended Okmulgee Tech for one year. Kenneth was sent to Wyoming for on the job training. While Kenneth was in Wyoming, he married Clara Merrell on January 18, 1949. After his training he went to work in the oilfield, retiring from that industry. He has lived in the area since 1951. Kenneth was a member of Longdale Baptist Church.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; two children; one brother and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Clara of Ringwood; son, Buddy Briley of Ringwood; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
