With her husband they owned and operated Monahan Readymix Concrete Plant from 1952 until a few years after Jerald’s death in 1989. They also farmed and ranched south of Fairview, raising Charlois cattle and growing wheat. Arveda was married, for a short time, to Gene Hunter until his death in 2000.

Arveda enjoyed playing cards and truly loved playing Dominoes. In her later years while living at Golden Oaks Retirement Center, she was known at the Domino Queen. She also enjoyed fishing and was still fishing last summer. Arveda was loved and will be truly missed.
