Fairview – The funeral for Lydia Boehs Unruh, 79, who died Friday at St. Mary's Hospital, Enid, will be at 2:30 PM Sunday at Church of God in Christ Mennonite in Fairview. The Revs. Myron Nightingale and Randy Levings will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Cemetery under the direction of Fairview Funeral Home.

She was born May 9, 1911, on a farm near Fairview to Jacob H. and Anna Koehn Boehs. She married Oscar M. Unruh on December 17, 1933, at Fairview and lived most of her life in the Fairview area. They lived six months in Colorado. She was a member of Church of God in Christ Mennonite and had been a Sunday school teacher. She was active in the Sewing Circle.

Surviving are her husband; one son, Wayne of Fairview; four daughters, Mrs. Warren (Verna Mae) Koehn and Mrs. Dewayne (Dorothy) Dirks, both of Scott City, Kansas, Mrs. Verlin (Jeanie) Koehn of Dalhart, Texas, and Evelyn Unruh of Fairview; one brother, Pete Boehs of Ringwood; one sister, Ida Schmidt of Fairview; 11 grandchildren; and two great – grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by six brothers, seven sisters and one granddaughter.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Cedar Christian School.
