Cedar Cemetery


December 1885 - October 6, 1957

Services for Mrs. Minnie Koehn, 75, were held at 2 PM Tuesday in the Fairview Church of God in Christ Mennonite with Ruben Koehn officiating. The body lay in state at the church between 11 AM and 2 PM. Burial was in the Cedar Cemetery west of the church.

Mrs. Koehn died Sunday evening in an Enid hospital following an illness of several weeks.

A native of McPherson County, Kansas, she came to Oklahoma while yet a small child, the family first settling at Pauls Valley. In 1901 she was married to Andrew Koehn and they made their home in Chickasha until they moved to Fairview in 1942. She was a member of the Church of God in Christ Mennonite Church.

She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Edna Boehs, Fairview; Mrs. Hazel Koehn, Olney Springs, Colorado; Mrs. Matilda Sutley, San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Irene Smith, Granado, Arizona; Mrs. Mabel Koehn, Mullenville, Kansas; and Mrs. Bernice Toews, Inman, Kansas; four sons, Ed Koehn, Enid; Frank Koehn, Fairview; Henry Koehn, Lawton; and Joe Koehn, New Orleans, Louisiana; 31 grandchildren, seven sisters, Mrs. Fanny Koehn and Mrs. Anna Koehn, Cement, Mrs. Julia koehn, Halstead, Kansas; Mrs. Ellen Nightengale, Hutchinson, Kansas; Mrs. Lena Yoder, Clovis, New Mexico, and Mrs. Lydia Koehn, Halsted; two brothers, Dan Schmidt, Norman, and Jim Schmidt, Perryton, Texas.
