Funeral Services for Lena May Harms, will be Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fairview Funeral Home Chapel, Fairview, OK. Reverends Carol and Nina Coulter will officiate. Burial will follow in the Cedar Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Lena was born November 29, 1927 in Lakin, KS to Willis and Faye (Combes) Bone and passed away February 18, 2014 in Enid, Oklahoma. She grew up in Kansas, graduating from high school in Topeka. Lena worked for Walgreens in Topeka as a soda jerk while in high school. After graduation she moved back to Lakin and worked for a family as a housekeeper. In 1946 she married Leo Harms in Deerfield, KS. They added a son and three daughters to this union. In 1951 Leo and Lena moved to their Cleo Springs farm where they lived until his death. Most of her life Lena helped Leo on their dairy farm. Lena loved flowers and reading. She enjoyed sewing for her family and made the best bread in the county.

Lena is survived by her son, Larry Harms and wife SzeYing of Ringwood, OK; two daughters Linda Petty and husband Daniel of Enid, OK and Lynette Khaladj and husband Hossein also of Enid, OK; son-in-law Leonard Morris and Debbra of Fairview, OK; eight grandchildren, Steven and Betty Ann Petty, Kristy and Bradley Fuxa, Lisa and Andrew Walker, Lorie Harms, Leonard Harms, Carrie and John Gregory, Jennifer Morris and Angela and Jayson Pierce, and eight great grandchildren, and one sister Eileen Papp of New York.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leo in 2011, one daughter, LaDonna Morris, one brother and two sisters.

Memorials may be made to OMRF Heart or Cancer divisions with the funeral home acting as custodian.
