Ames Cemetery


Ames – Pearl Bowman Bowles, 91, died Thursday in Ames. Services will be at 10:30 AM Saturday in the Gautier Memorial Auditorium with the Rev. Jim Thorpe officiating. Burial will be in the Ames Cemetery under the direction of the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

Bowles was born January 16, 1894 in Lineville, Alabama. In 1913 she married Harry J. Bowman in Mountain Park, making their home in the Ames community. She participated in 4 – H and taught piano lessons.

Harry Bowman preceded her in death in 1975.

On December 22, 1980, she married Merle O. Bowles in Fairview.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Charles Bowman, Ames; two grandchildren, and seven great – grandchildren.

Memorial in her memory may be made to the M.A.R.C. Senior Citizens Center with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
