Services for Robert Eddy Langford, 58, of Marietta, were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 21, in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta, with Ellen Davis officiating.
Mr. Langford was born March 1, 1943, in Dallas, Texas, the son of William Harris and Lillian Christine Benson Langford. He died Sunday, February 17, 2002, at his residence in Marietta.
Reared in California, Mr. Langford had made his home in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area for a number of years, then in Webster City, Iowa, for nine years before moving to Marietta in August 1998. He and Jerlene Gilmore were married May 11, 1979, in Reno, Nevada. Mr. Langford served in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years during which time he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the Rifle Expert Badge. He was employed as Superintendent for Fenix Construction in Ardmore. Mr. Langford was a member of the Unity Church of Denton, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Jerlene Langford of the home; a son, William Bradley of Frisco, Texas; a daughter, Darla Bradley of Marietta; a brother, John W. Langford of Saratoga, California; two sisters, Yvonne Croxton of Bakersfield, California, and Mary Paolucci of Redwood City, California; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Langford was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Larkin Harris Langford.
Honorary pallbearers were Al Benson, Robert Hansen, Robert Bohac, Robby Bradley, Jimmy Weeks and Tom Raney.
Interment with military honors was in the Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
