Graveside services for Nora Gray Jones Lee, 98, of Wilson, were held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 1, in Hewitt Cemetery, Wilson, with the Rev. Billy D. Smith officiating.
Mrs. Lee was born January 2, 1905, at Folsom, Indian Territory, the daughter of John B. and Louisa Allen Gray. She died Sunday, March 30, 2003, in Wilson.
She grew up at Simon where she attended school. She and W. Arvel Jones were married at Simon in 1925. For many years, Mrs. Lee lived in Pampa, Texas, where she was a caregiver. She returned to this area in 1975. Mrs. Lee had been a member of the Primitive Baptist Church for 69 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Ozella Renzelman of Wilson; a son, Leo Jones of Healdton; two sisters, Lou Gray and Grace Randolph of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Paula Jeane Jones on January 5, 1946; a grandson, Larry Wayne Jones on November 19, 1998; a great-grandson, Shane Smith; a sister, Mae Watson; and four brothers, O.L. Gray Sr., Ed Gray, J.B. Gray and Bill Gray.
Serivces were under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home, Wilson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice, 1100 NW 4th Street, Wilson, OK 73463.
