Services for Cecil Samuel Lyle were at 2:00 Friday, September 23, in the Community Fellowship Outreach Center, Assemblies of God, Ringling. Officiating was Ronnie Carroll assisted by Randy Southerland.
Mr. Lyle was born August 22, 1922, at Union Hill, the son of Andrew and Maudie Mae Davis Lyles and died September 21, 1994, in an Ardmore hospital.
A resident of the Orr community his entire life, Mr. Lyle was a farmer and rancher. He had also been employed by Lone Star Gas Company, retiring August 30, 1984, after 35 years of service. Mr. Lyle was married to the former Syble L. Abshire on March 6, 1960.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Syble Lyle of the home at Orr; a son, Sammie Lyle of Wynnewood; eight daughters, Katie Hereford of Mesquite, Texas, Linda Eubanks and Sheila Hale of Ringling, Vickie Acox of Orr, Nancy Holland and Sue Williamson of Marlow, Tracy Roberts of Healdton, and Natasha Lyle of the home; two brothers, Bill Lyle of Orr and Roy Lyle of Healdton; four sisters, Mildred Roberts and Kathleen Apala of Ringling, Betty Lamascus of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Mattie Burns of Riverside, California; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Lyle was preceded in death by two sisters, Geneva Wade and Pauline Lyle.
Services were directed by the Alexander Funeral Home, Ringling, with interment in the Orr Cemetery. Serving as casket bearers were sons-in-law, Tim Hale, Ronnie Acox, Danny Holland, Freddy Williamson, Dale Eubanks and Bobby Roberts.
