Services for Nora Dillard, 94, were Monday at 10 a.m. in the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Chapel, Gainesville, Texas, with Rev. Glynn Vickers officiating.
Mrs. Dillard was born January 13, 1898, in Birmingham, Alabama, the oldest daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Womack. She died September 11, 1992, at her residence in Gainesville.
She married Joe Dillard December 17, 1914, and they made their home in Sivells Bend until 1944. Mrs. Dillard was a member of Whaley United Methodist Church and managed the Gainesville Junior High cafeteria for many years.
She is survived by two sons, Wayne Dillard of Gainesville and Joe (Dutch) Dillard of Sivells Bend; six sisters, Jesse Autry of Gainesville, Virgie Fenley of Commerce, Texas, Dovey Shepard of Wichita Falls, Texas, Olivia Killebrew of Oklahoma City, Ray Hergensoldoe of Coachella, California, and Artena Pendleton of Rule, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Dillard was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Dillard, and son, Bill Dillard.
Interment was in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
