Services for Melvin Kenneth Chaney, 69, were Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Enville Community Church with Hubert Sponsler officiating.
Born April 21, 1928, at Kingston, Mr. Chaney was reared at Lebanon where he lived most of his lifetime. He died April 20, 1998, in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta.
Mr. Chaney married Thelma June McMillin at Enville on March 23, 1950. He had worked for Total Refinery of Ardmore for some 34 years. Mr. Chaney was a member of the Enville Community Church.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma June Chaney of the home at Enville; two children, Kenneth Dale Chaney of Marietta and Regina Gaylene Rowland of Enville; three grandchildren, Ryan Chaney, Colt Chaney and Tifani Rowland; and three sisters, JoAnn Collins of Madill, Edna Forguson of Gene Autry and Kay Thomas of Moore.
Interment was in the Lebanon Cemetery under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill. Casket bearers were Ronnie Willis, Bobby Willis, Bobby Lemons, Johnny Rushing, J.C. Harris and Carroll Montgomery. Honorary bearers included Gilbert Willis, Lynn Puckett, Kenneth Shelton, Jim Minyard, Thurman Vinson, Lee L. Lemons, Elvin Jackson and Lewis Foster.
