MARIETTA -- Services for Reford E. Tims, 89, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Enabnit officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Born June 7, 1910, at Rush Springs to J.W. and Anna Speyers Tims, he died Dec. 24, 1999 at an Ardmore hospital. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters.
He married Mattie Foster in 1941 at Graham, Texas.
Tims was a member of First Christian Church. He was a Mason and a member of Burch Brothers American Legion Post 0136. Tims had been a farmer and rancher.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; one daughter, Ann Fish, Gainesville, Texas; and two grandsons.
Bearers are Tom Brannan, Rich Brannan, Wayne Bond, Bobby Michael, Dean Williamson and Larry Martin.
