Services for Mamie C. Michael, 97, of Stigler were Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Scott Gordon officiating.

Born May 23, 1902, at Booneville, Mississippi, the daughter of John and Minnie Fullilove Little, Mrs. Michael died January 22, 2000, in the Muskogee Regional Medical Center, Muskogee. A resident of Marietta most of her life, Mrs. Michael moved to Stigler in 1991. She married John D. "Pete" Michael February 22, 1918, at Corinth, Mississippi. Mrs. Michael was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Marietta.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, David and Wanda Michael of Stigler; a daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Walter Nelson of North Richland Hills, Texas; a grandson, Robert Nelson of North Richland Hills; two granddaughters, Valerie Bryson of North Richland Hills and Melinda Clark of Stigler; three great-grandsons, Michael Clark of Stigler and Shad Bryson and Micahel Bryson of North Richland Hills; a great-granddaughter, Miranda Clark of Stigler; and a great-great-grandson, Payton Bryson of North Richland Hills.

Mrs. Michael was preceded in death by her husband on August 8, 1982; a son, James Michael on August 27, 1990; a daughter, Emily Michael in 1933; an infant son; and two sisters.

Interment in Lakeview Cemetery was under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home. 

Pallbearers were Jim Michael, Dick Michael, Bobby  Michael, Bud Hill, Gary Presley & Dennis Presley.  Honorary bearers were members of Fidelis and Philathea Sunday School Class of Marietta's First Baptist Church.
