A mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mary F. Walter, 97, of Guthrie, Okla. at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Guthrie, with Rev. Denis G. Hanrahan officiating. Burial will be at Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie under the direction of Davis Funeral Home. Mary was born July 23, 1902 in Purcell, Indian Territory (prior to Oklahoma Statehood) to James and Elizabeth Moore. She died Monday, Dec. 20, 1999 in Amarillo, Texas. Mary was employed at Fairmont Creamery in Guthrie for more than 25 years. She attended St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was a beloved wife and homemaker for most of her life, but to those who knew and loved her she was "Aunty."
She was married to David C. Walter.
She is survived by two nephews; Don Miller, Sr. of Amarillo, Texas and Richard Walter of Guthrie. She is also survived by family members numbering more than 30, most from Amarillo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Walter on Dec. 30, 1972 and her sister, Lillian Moore on July 15, 1998.
